Fly into the magical city of Marrakech. From here there's a fantastic range of trekking options: breathtaking mountain scenery in the High Atlas, Berber villages and impressive rock formations in the Dades or Todra Gorge, peaks and oases on the edge of the Sahara desert at Jebel Sahro, or for the ultimate challenge an ascent of Mt. Toubkal - Morocco's highest peak. From here you will head to your service project. Past teams have renovated schools to include painting and plastering classrooms or building school gardens. Teams have also taught English or organized sports days for school children. There is also the opportunity to help with valuable irrigation projects.
Finally head back to Marrakech and explore the bewitching main square at dusk with snake charmers, storytellers, and labyrinth of bustling souks to explore.
Day 1 - Depart US and fly to Morocco
Day 2 - Arrive and travel to the start of your trek at Imlil in the High Atlas Mountains
Day 3 - Trek to Ouankesra
Day 4 - Day trek to a local peak at 3600m
Day 5 - The trek continues on to Agnounss over a high pass
Day 6 - Trek to Setti Fatima
Day 7 - Travel to your Community Project Phase
Day 8 - Community Project Phase
Day 9 - Community Project Phase
Day 10 - Community Project Phase
Day 11 - Community Project Phase
Day 12 - Community Project Phase
Day 13 - Return to Marrakech for some well earned rest and reflection!
Day 14 - Return to US
