14 day trekking and service work expedition to Ecuador

Ecuador flag

Fly into Quito. Teams will explore both the Andes and the Amazon on this expedition. In one of these locations the team will undertake a rewarding service project, and in the other they will complete an exciting trekking phase.

Service projects are tremendously varied. Past teams have renovated schools, assisted in eco-tourism initiatives (educational medicinal plant trails), helped out on community coffee plantations, built playgrounds and soccer fields, developed organic fruit and vegetable gardens for communities, or organized sports competitions for the local children.

Treks in the Andes are around Cotapaxi or Chimborazo volcanoes, around the famous Quilotoa Loop, or along the spectacular Intag Valley in the northern Andes. Trekking in the Amazon involves an exciting 3 or 4-day Amazon jungle adventure where teams can learn about medicinal plants, take day hikes into the jungle past waterfalls and lagoons, learn about nocturnal creatures, and even pan for gold!

Finally, enjoy a thrilling day of white water rafting before heading back to Quito for your flight home.
