We take our responsibility very seriously to ensure our expeditions are safe for all involved – Challengers, partners in-country, Expedition and School Leaders as well as anyone else that might come into contact with us or be affected by the work we are doing in local communities. We have a state-of-the-art Operations Center manned by highly qualified staff, and experienced Expedition Leaders and in-country staff all working to make our expeditions safe and manage risk effectively.Read more about our safety procedures

Sustainability and responsible travel are an inherent part of our ethos. We aim to ensure that all of our expeditions have a minimum or positive impact on the planet. This includes business operations and expeditions in both the UK and overseas.People and places
We adhere to the Young Explorers’ Trust and British Biological Society’s guidelines on Environmental Responsibility for Expeditions.For example:
- Encouraging teams to eat and buy local food rather than imported
- Including a sustainable project phase as part of every expedition
- We adhere to the guidelines of the International Porters’ Protection Group (where possible all the porters we use have access to adequate clothing, boots, shelter and food, medical care and insurance)
