Nicaragua has it all, from beautiful colonial towns, volcano treks, bio-diverse islands and pristine beaches, making it an incredibly exciting expedition destination. Nicaragua has a Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea coastline, dense jungles and an exciting volcanic and mountainous landscape perfect for trekking!

We have a range of exciting itineraries for short or longer expeditions to Nicaragua, allowing the team to experience an unforgettable trek, a community service project and if time allows, some beach time!

Depending on the length of the expedition, students will depart from the beautiful colonial towns of Leon or Granada and take part in either the awesome three volcanoes in three days trek or a trek around the mythical island of Ometepe, with its twin volcanic cones and spectacular forests and waterfalls. Both of these treks are destined to be the highlight of any expedition.

If students opt for a longer itinerary, they will have the opportunity to head to San Juan del Sur on the Pacific Coast for some down time. The teams on shorter itineraries will be able to take in the architecture, visit local cathedrals and shop in the markets of Granada. “
