Get off the tourist trail and experience an expedition that combines the Amazon rainforests and stunning Andean Mountains. Trek in Santa Cruz, explore the jungle via boat voyage, and discover the truly fascinating cultural heritage of Peru.

On this expedition, students’ sense of adventure will be put to the test as they immerse themselves in the rainforest as well as rise up to the challenge of the Andes Mountains. On the Santa Cruz and Huarez treks, Students will get to explore the pristine beauty of the Classical Andean scenery: glacial lakes, rocky canyons, hot springs and Inca ruins.

In addition to being immersed in a truly unique environment, the Andes and Amazon expedition offers students the opportunity to participate in a week of community service work. This might involve renovating old school or social buildings or helping out with environmental projects in the rainforests. Regardless of the specific project, students are guaranteed to feel enriched as they give something back to the community and listen to the residents amazing stories of Amazonian life and culture.

Students will also visit the Pacaya Samiria rainforest, archaeological sites, local markets and even have a chance to visit a secret waterfall known only to the natives until recently.
