Tanzania is rich in culture and its greatest wealth lies in its outstanding attractions of wildlife, local villages and worthwhile service opportunities. Many people never see the wonders of southern Tanzania as they travel the touristy path in the north. The south is far more untouched, and its beautiful landscapes provide more of an adventure for a team.

To ensure teams, are able to experience all that southern Tanzania has to offer, students participate in a three day trek that take them from remote agricultural villages up into the Udzungwa mountain range. This is an area which is more known amongst biologists and wildlife experts than tourists. Additionally, on this trek, it is common to see troops of monkeys.

Service projects in Southern Tanzania assist communities who are greatly in need. These projects involve construction work that has an immediate positive impact on villagers and will continue to do so for years to come.

For their recreational time, teams can choose to visit either Ruaha or Mikumi National Park, where they will take a safari to observe African wildlife. If they’re lucky, they may even spot “The Big 5” on safari. The team will then head to the coast where students will relax by the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
