In Laos, students will be trekking around Phu Khao Khuay National Park where they will see a wide array of wildlife including monkeys, wild elephants, sambar and possibly even an Asian Black Bear or clouded leopard. While in Laos, students will stay within traditional communities and undertake much needed service work. Their efforts will be followed by a relaxation day in Luang Prabang, a beautiful city known for its amazing night market.
Students then board a boat for a two day journey along the Mekong River into Thailand before beginning their next trek through the hill tribes, with their unique cultures, outside of Chiang Rai. The team will then head south to the beaches of Ko Chang and Ko Samet to soak the up the island paradise on a well earned break.
The expedition to Thailand and Laos involves travel by road, rail and river giving teams the opportunity to see as much as possible of these two exciting countries, and really get off the tourist trail.
