North
Teams can undertake acclimatization treks within the scenic Nauklauft National Park, or inside the tranquil Nambigrens private reserve. Teams may also decide to spend a few days in ancient Damaraland, which encompasses some of Namibia’s most dramatic natural landscapes.

It’s possible to spend an action packed day taking in three major attractions; sunrise from Dune 45, a desert trek to Sossusvlei and finally returning to Sesriem for a short hike into the local canyon to watch the sun go down.

The main trekking phase at the Waterberg Plateau is an exciting four day guided trail around the enormous escarpment. A new main trek option is being considered either in the Nauklauft National Park or in the spectacular Ugab River Valley in the far north.

South
Teams undertaking their main trek in the south will complete their acclimatization phase in the north as above. The main trekking phase will be a dramatic and very challenging 90km five day self-guided trek in the stunning Fish River Canyon. Following the dried river bed, teams will be amazed by the immense size of the surrounding canyon. Teams will need to be self-sufficient and arrange their own water and food. Camps will be set up along the way and teams usually opt to sleep under the stars.

Project work in Namibia
Teams will spend between eight to ten days in a rural school working on a variety of projects such as designing vegetable gardens, repainting school buildings and creating recreational grounds. There will also be opportunities to teach the children and help with after school sports or clubs. Conservation and environmental work is also possible within Namibia’s National Parks and game reserves. The project work offers an incredible opportunity to become immersed in the local culture and to learn about life in Namibia.

Rest and relaxation
The coastal town of Swakopmund is a great base for teams to enjoy a fun afternoon sand boarding. The salt-pans of Etosha in the north offer teams a chance to spot some of Africa’s most famous species. Teams can also visit the historic town of Luderitz in the south where they can take a boat trip to see the local seals, penguins and dolphins.
