Outside Sales Consultant (Based out of NY, NJ, or PA)

Then we want you as an Outside Sales Consultant for World Challenge.
As part of the World Challenge team you will help teachers and students plan and deliver adventurous, educational expeditions to over 50 destinations within the developing world - from Tanzania to Mongolia; Borneo to Costa Rica.To become part of our dedicated Sales team, you will need to be energetic, motivated and responsible for your own territory. The ideal candidate will be based out of New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania, in order to support these regions. This position requires excellent face-to-face presentation skills that showcase your talents in sales and public speaking. You must be a self-starter with demonstrated history of closing new business, love adventure and be willing to show it.
What you’ll be doing…
Reporting to the Managing Director (Boston, MA), you will manage your own area and be responsible for achieving all sales objectives. By determining schools’ needs through a consultative approach - field meetings, aggressive self-lead generation and phone follow up - you will be articulating the benefits of working with World Challenge to key decision-makers to close the sale. The Outside Sales Consultant is responsible for managing a strong relationship with each teacher/school through regular contact while working closely with internal departments to deliver excellent customer service and pre-expedition delivery. You will not be stuck in an office.

This role requires full flexibility to work extended hours as there is a substantial amount of travel as well as evening presentations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales and have exceeded your sales quota consistently
- Proven success in sales pipeline management including real-time forecasting and projections
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 75%-100% of the year. Your own car and valid license are required (car allowance provided)
- Ability to convert interest into sales
- Ability to plan ahead, manage time and prioritize work load
- Strong skills within the following programs: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), CRM systems (Maximizer a plus)
- Experience of traveling within the developing world is a plus
- Experience working within the education market a plus
