Sales Coordinator

Can you enthuse and inspire teachers about the benefits of our life-changing expeditions? Are you talkative? Are you motivated? Are you organized? Do people generally like what you have to say and how you say it?

Then we want you as a Sales Coordinator at World Challenge.

You should be target-driven and achievement focused, you should be ready to be rewarded for your success. You must be confident and with a professional, proactive approach, you’ll be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills. You are the front line and you are the first step towards having teacher and student groups travel to over 50 destinations - from Tanzania to Mongolia; Borneo to Costa Rica.

You will have proven telephone based sales experience or showcase the talents that will make you a success. You will be motivated to see a sale through from start to finish along with the tenacity to work in a small team dedicated to direct sales.

As a natural influencer, you will be tenacious, dedicated and ideally have a good understanding of the benefits of experiential education. Experience in selling to the educational market is ideal, but not essential.

What you’ll be doing…
Supporting our Outside Sales Consultants, you’ll proactively book meetings for our outside sales team, contact teachers to build positive relationships, gather information and develop new business through professional discussions over the phone. With a keen eye for opportunity, you will identify new leads, build that relationship and schedule an in person meeting for our Outside Sales Consultants. You will develop an excellent level of knowledge of the destinations we travel to and keep up to date with new products and destinations coming to market; enabling you to have a consultative approach to sales.

More specifically you will:
  • Research schools both prior to and following contact
  • Contact schools through structured telephone sales
  • Qualify contacts to ensure our Outside Sales Consultants are set up for successful face-to-face sales visits
  • Arrange sales visits and act as the first point of contact for new clients until an initial sales visit has been carried out by an Outside Sales Consultant
  • Responsible for hitting and reporting on daily/weekly targets and goals
  • Respond to emails and calls from new clients and maintain reports and notes on our CRM system (Maximizer )
  • Database management
  • Liaise with internal departments needed to close the sale
  • Going on expedition if you achieve your goals!

As part of the Specialist and Activity sector within the TUI Group, World Challenge plans and delivers exciting, educational expeditions to over 50 destinations within the developing world.

We offer the opportunity for schools to enter into a program of learning and development, fundraising (money management) and team building, culminating in a 1-4 week Expedition to the developing world. Our aim is to ensure that our young challengers experience an awe-inspiring range of community project work, trekking and cultural adventure. We change their lives!
