Nicaragua 14 day trek and service

14 day Nicaragua community and trekking expedition

Nicaragua flag

Flying in to Managua you will head to one of Nicaragua's beautiful colonial towns: Leon or Granada. Leon is your springboard for hiking in the dramatic Maribios volcano chain, and from Granada you can jump on a boat across Lake Nicaragua to explore the mythical island of Ometepe, with it's twin volcanic cones and spectacular forests and waterfalls.

In addition to some exciting hiking, you will be able to take part in a rewarding service project. This could be helping out at a school or kindergarten around Leon, Granada, Ometepe Island or Rivas, or between July and December you could assist with vital turtle conservation projects on the Pacific.

At the end of your project enjoy a day back in Leon or Granada, taking in historic atmosphere and great markets, or else head to San Juan del Sur on the Pacific Coast for some R&R.
