World Challenge is meant to challenge but to also develop and guide students of all abilities and experience levels. For many families, this will be the first international experience for a son or daughter. And while your children won’t realize it at the time, this will be a growing experience for you as a parent as well. They will thank you for letting them spread their wings and become independent young people.World Challenge is an inclusive program and we encourage participation of students from all different interests.
A few things your child can expect from participating in a World Challenge expedition:
- The best thing they have ever done!
- Develop soft skills such as project management, decision making, time management, communication and team work
- Improve fitness levels through training and other build-up activities
- Develop vital money management skills as well as the responsibility of working towards a financial goal
- Appreciate the history, geography, geology and language of their destination as well as practical areas of their expedition such as health, hygiene and nutrition
- Become a responsible traveler
- Set a new personal best
