Fly into Lima. The team will connect with a flight up to Cusco - a beautiful and historic Andean city, once the capital of the Inca Empire. From here the team will acclimatize and get used to higher altitudes with a day or two of scenic day walks. Experience Inca ruins, rock carvings, caves, and mountain villages all affording wonderful views of the sacred valley of Cusco and surrounding Andes.
Next the team will undertake a rewarding service project in an indigenous highland community around Cusco. Past teams have constructed medical clinics, renovated schools, taught English, or have built bathroom stalls.
The team will make their way back to Cusco. From here, transfer to the magical lost city of Machu Picchu - one of the highlights of any trip to Peru!.
Fly back to Lima and head home.
