Fly into Quito. Teams will spend the first two nights in this beautifully preserved colonial city acclimatizing to the high altitude, exploring the attractions of the city (Mitad del Mundo marks the equator) and admiring the awesome Andean mountains and peaks all around. Next the team will head south to Tena, the heart of the Amazon basin.
Tena is your base for an exciting 3-day Amazon jungle adventure. Here teams will learn about medicinal plants, take day hikes into the jungle past waterfalls and lagoons, see nocturnal creatures, and even pan for gold!
Finally, head back to Quito for the flight home.
