14 day trekking expedition to Peru

Fly into Lima. The team will connect with a flight up to Cusco - a beautiful and historic Andean city, once the capital of the Inca Empire. From here the team will acclimatize and get used to higher altitudes with a day or two of scenic day walks. Experience Inca ruins, rock carvings, caves, and mountain villages all affording wonderful views of the sacred valley of Cusco and surrounding Andes.

Once acclimatized, the team will head out for their main trek through the stunning Andes. Trek options can include: Huaren to Lares (4 days), the famous Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu (5 days), or around the Sacred Valley on the Huaracono trek (4 days).

The team will make their way back to Cusco. From here, transfer to the magical lost city of Machu Picchu - one of the highlights of any trip to Peru!.

Fly back to Lima and head home.

Day 2 - Depart Lima, arrive Cusco
Day 3 - Explore Cusco
Day 4 - Acclimatization trekking around Cusco
Day 5 - Acclimatization trekking around Cusco
Day 6 - Rest day in Cusco to prepare for main trek
Day 7 - Main trek: Huaren to Lares, Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, or Huaracondo
Day 8 - Main trek: Huaren to Lares, Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, or Huaracondo
Day 9 - Main trek: Huaren to Lares, Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, or Huaracondo
Day 10 - Main trek: Huaren to Lares, Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, or Huaracondo
Day 11 - Main trek: Huaren to Lares, Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, or Huaracondo
Day 12 - Machu Picchu
Day 13 - Depart Cusco, arrive Lima
Day 14 - Depart for home
