Vietnam
Introduction to the Vietnam expedition
Vietnam stretches down the eastern side of the Indochinese Peninsula and borders Laos, China and Cambodia. Visitors are often amazed by the outstanding beauty of Vietnam’s landscape; the fertile rice paddies which cover the coastal lowlands in stark contrast to the forest-covered mountains that run almost the entire length of Vietnam along its borders with Laos and Cambodia.
There is a northern or southern itinerary to choose from which both encompass some truly fantastic trekking and some rewarding service work where teams become totally immersed in a very friendly Vietnamese community, assisting with informal English teaching and playing games with the local children. The expedition finishes with some superb sightseeing opportunities; either be inspired by the spectacular World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay or explore the Mekong Delta region depending upon your chosen itinerary. |
