Expedition build-up
The Build up phase (or pre-expedition program) is both practical and developmental. It encourages your students to take ownership of the expedition by researching their destination, fundraising to pay their fees and preparing themselves for the emotional and physical challenge they are taking on.Motivation and Training: World Challenge Program Facilitators come to the school to deliver itinerary planning and fundraising advice. They also will train the team in a training workshop (standard expeditions) or see the team at their weekend Overseas Training Expedition (OTE) required for all extended expedition programs.
Money Management Program: Students work through a step by step program designed to help them earn funds towards their expedition and learn financial skills. We will provide the resources to give students the best opportunities to earn money and the confidence to help them succeed.
Resources: You will have access to your personal expedition website ‘My World Challenge’ which is constantly updated with news, reminders, activities and facts to help the team prepare and stay on task for their expedition.
