Outside Sales Consultant (Based out of our Boston, MA office)


As part of the Specialist and Activity sector within the TUI Group, World Challenge plans and delivers exciting, educational expeditions to over 50 destinations within the developing world, from South America to Mongolia!

We offer the opportunity for high schools to enter into a program of learning and development; fundraising; and team building, culminating in a 1-4 week Expedition to the developing world. Our aim is to ensure that the young challengers experience an awe-inspiring range of community project work, trekking and cultural adventure.

Offering these opportunities to young people and the teachers who accompany them are our dedicated Sales team. We are now seeking energetic and motivated sales people to join our lively, Boston based sales team to generate leads and drive new sales.

What you’ll be doing…
Reporting to Managing Director, you will manage your own area and be responsible for achieving new sales objectives by working with our team to build and develop relationships with new and returning client schools. By determining schools’ needs through a consultative approach, you will be articulating the benefits of working with World Challenge to key decision-makers before closing the sale.

To gain a full understanding of our exciting overseas programs, you can expect comprehensive training and support to help you to be in the best position to achieve every success in your new role.

This role requires full flexibility to work extended hours as there is a substantial amount of travel as well as evening presentations.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 1 years proven business to business sales experience involving regular face-to-face contact working to targets
  • Must be confident in presenting to large groups
  • The ability to travel frequently, car and valid license are required (car allowance provided)
  • A strong belief in the value of experiential learning in youth development
  • Experience of traveling within the developing world is a plus
  • Ability to plan ahead, manage time and prioritize work load
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT literate – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint.
